Tyler Childers - Long Violent History

It was an honor to get the call to make this banner for Tyler Childers’ album “Long Violent History.” Painted in reverse for the tintype and knowing the original colors would be replaced with sepia, this was a fun challenge all around.

The album is sonically amazing and a breakaway from Childers’ previous work. It fully leans into his heritage and birthplace, it’s transportive and anachronistic until you reach the final track, which hurls you into the present time seamlessly.

Being able to be a small part of this project was very meaningful, and it felt like a perfect application of my style.
