In 2015 I had become obsessed with vernacular signage: menus and business offerings hand-painted onto building facades. I was very early into my sign painting career and was looking to these influences to establish my own style and visual language based on what spoke to me.

Everything in this exhibition was painted onto a found object, mainly from Chicago alleyways but with a few treasures included from American Science and Surplus.
